Winsley Kayatta completed his schooling in his home country of Kenya, before moving to the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.  There he obtained, first, a degree of Bachelor of Commerce and then a postgraduate award, a Master of Commerce.  In the latter he specialised in Financial Management, Marketing Management, Industrial Structures & Economic Relations, and Quantitative Techniques.

After graduating, Winsley held posts in Kenya as Accountant, Chief Accountant and Financial Consultant.  He came to Seychelles in 2007, where he first worked as a Lecturer in Business Studies at Seychelles Polytechnic.  Soon after, he joined the then Seychelles Institute of Management and from 2013 The Guy Morel Institute of the University of Seychelles.

Winsley is active across a range of duties, including lecturing on various management courses, developing short courses and programmes, and organising and leading workshops, all apart from his role as Head of Programme for Certificate Courses.  He is also responsible for seeking and undertaking consultancies and has worked in this way for a number of leading organisations in Seychelles.

His record of professional and voluntary activities includes membership of the Kenya National Examination Council, Interim Vice-Treasurer of an NGO involved in poverty eradication and Secretary of a community-based development organisation.

Outside work, Winsley enjoys travelling, community service, listening to music and meeting people.
