Assistant Lecturer in Mathematics

Yvon Juliette completed his schooling in Seychelles before leaving for New Zealand in 1988 to undertake a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at the University of Canterbury.

His subsequent career started with the teaching of mathematics at Seychelles Polytechnic and with the then School of Continuing Education.  In due course he left ent to work as a Research Officer on a variety of government projects primarily related to energy use and energy conservation.  Subsequently, he took up a post as Manager of the Seychelles Bureau of Standards Library, which was responsible for providing science and information services to the general public.

He later returned to teaching, this time as a Quantitative Methods lecturer with the Seychelles Polytechnic, concentrating especially on support for accounting students.  His next move was to American Institute of Medicine, where he taught Calculus and Biostatistics and coordinated the Premedical Faculty.

Yvon joined UniSey in 2010 as Quality Assurance Officer, prior to transferring in 2014 to a lecturing role.  He currently teaches Mathematics to first-year students.
