Lecturer in ICT

Kelvin Ombasa has been a Lecturer in ICT at UniSey since March 2014.  His background includes both academic and professional experience. 

In the former, he was for six years from 2004 to 2010 an ICT Lecturer at the Kenya Institute of Management, where he taught mainly at Certificate and Diploma levels. From there he moved to the United Arab Emirates gain practical experience of ICT, taking on a post, first, with the Ministry of Social Affairs as a Technical Support Specialist.  After that he worked for a commercial organisation as a Systems Administrator, before coming to Seychelles in his present capacity.    

Kelvin completed his schooling in his home country of Kenya.  He was attracted to a career working with computers and in 2001 obtained a Diploma in Computer Programming from the Kenya Christian Training Institute.  He later obtained a relevant qualification (CCNA) from Strathmore University, Scotland, and then a BSc degree in Computers from the Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica.
