Lecturer in Accounting and Finance

Isaac Lelgo joined UniSey in January 2013 as a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance, based at the Guy Morel Institute.  Prior to that he was employed as a Project Manager at the then Seychelles Institute of Management, with responsibility for coordinating offshore training programmes, general insurance and ICA courses.

Isaac attended schools in his home country of Kenya, before spending a short period as a High School teacher.  He then took up a place at Moi University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management – with a major in Accounting and a minor in Banking and Finance.  In addition to his degree, he is professionally qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Kenya.

After graduating from Moi University, Isaac gained practical experience by working with two organisations in Kenya, prior to employment for four years as a Micro-Credit Officer with the Co-operative Bank of Kenya Ltd.  In that latter role his duties included the marketing of credit products, assistance with client applications and making recommendations to the Branch Credit Committee.

Outside work, Isaac engages in voluntary community service, athletics, reading, current affairs and socializing.
