UNODC Workshop: Maritime Crime and Correctional Administration/Maritime Crime and Law Enforcement

The University of Seychelles in Collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC), conducted two short courses validated by the Seychelles Qualifications Authority. The two courses held for 5 days between 5th and 9th May, concentrated on Maritime Crime & Law Enforcement and Maritime Crime & Correctional Administration. This was the second cycle of the course following the first cycle held in January of this year.

The two courses have been developed in partnership with UNODC with the support of the Australian government and boasted the participation of regional countries such as Kenya and Mauritius. Other than the classroom setting; the participants had the opportunity to visit the Montagne Posee prison and to visit a captured Somali pirate skiff.
