The Foundation Course

This one year course is suitable for those students who do not have the required A level passes or equivalent to enter a degree course. Successful completion of the Foundation Course leads to enrolment on a degree course at UniSey.

The Foundation Course will provide students with the opportunity to either
  • Re-take A levels previously failed, or passed at a low grade. This route is a UniSey course or
  • Take Foundation modules in Mathematics and Statistics leading to enrolment on the BSc Business Degree course. This route is a University of London Access course.
All courses at Foundation level will also include the following:
  • Study and Research Skills modules and
  • English Language, leading to the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) qualification or equivalent.

Entry requirements for the Foundation Course are as follows:

For the UoL Access Course:
  • Students must be at least 17 years on September 1st of the year of registration.
  • Students must have passed a minimum of 4 non-overlapping IGCSEs or O levels at grade C orabove (including English and Mathematics)

For the UniSey Foundation Course:

  • Students must be at least 17 years on September 1st of the year of registration.
  • Students must have passed a minimum of 3 IGCSEs or O levels at grade C or above (including English and Mathematics)
  • or must have completed the post-secondary diploma course at an appropriate level
  • or must have previously completed an Advanced level programme comprising at least two subjects
Seychellois students may qualify for financial assistance for this programme and should complete and return forms found here.
