Sustainable Tourism : Guest Lecturer by an expert from Constance Ephelia
In contemporary tourism sector, the relevance of sustainable tourism has grown over time. Guest lecturer Mr. Markus Ultsch-Unrath, Health, Safety and Environment Project Manager from Constance Ephelia, an expert in the field, presented the first-year BSc (Honours) in Travel and Tourism Economics (BTTE) 2024–2027 cohorts with invaluable insights into best practices and emerging trends in sustainable tourism , which emphasizes the significance of striking a balance between environmental conservation and economic growth and community welfare. This lecturer also helped students comprehend international initiatives and regulatory frameworks that support sustainability in the tourism sector by connecting them to expert viewpoints. Students being knowledgeable about sustainable practices will be better equipped to support laws that promote visitors’ ethical travel habits as future industry leaders. The Guest lecturer for the first year BTTE students was organised by the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
