ETH Zurich Partnership

 Overview

As outlined in the 2015 Greater Victoria Masterplan, Victoria seeks to become a world-class destination for living, working, and visiting by 2040. An ideal urban transportation network should use suitable transportation means to bring users to their destinations in a timely manner throughout the day. The transport system in the Seychelles was in essence built in the 1960s and 70s. However, the number of private cars is dramatically increasing which leads to a precarious traffic situation, particularly in Victoria. Congestion is abundant and not only during rush hour. This is the starting point of our research. Students from ETH Zurich and UniSey are working together in small groups on different aspects of this issue and will conduct surveys and interviews between the 4th July and 13th July. If you would like to contribute to these projects please fill out the surveys listed below or contact us directly at transport-surveys@ethz.ch.
