Emily Gonthier has been appointed as Associate Lecturer in ‘Equity and Trusts’. She received her Bachelor of Arts (BA (Hons)) degree in law and management, from the University of Mauritius. She also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Maritime Law from the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) International Maritime Law Institute, and LLM in international business law from the University of London. She is a legal researcher for the Judiciary of Seychelles, as well as the Chairperson of the Seychelles’ Maritime Accident Investigation Board (MAIB). Previously, she worked as an assistant state counsel at the attorney general’s chambers from 2012 to 2019.
