Holder of a BA degree in Modern English Studies from the University of Wales, Cardiff, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), A Masters degree in English Language teaching and he is presently on the last stage of his PhD in education. His career in education started 20 years ago in 1998 as a teacher of English as a second language at secondary level. He did that until 2004 when he moved to Teacher training at the National Institute of Education (NIE). During that time he taught different modules ranging from Reading, Writing, learning theories, academic writing, study skills and Educational research. He also partook in different course development, mentoring of students up to Masters level etc. Then in 2009 he began working with UniSey as a lecturer for English language and literature. He thought different modules on the BA English program, such as Introduction to Language, Language and media, Approaches to text, Victorian etc. He was also Head of department from 2010 to 2014. He also represented academic staff on the University council from 2012 to 2014.

Presently he is engaged in course development (BEd English, Masters in Education) and he is also teaching academic English while he completes his PhD thesis. His main research interest is in language in education policy, where he has published five articles already and submitted one for reviewing.

Justin is married and has one daughter aged 8.
