UniSey welcomed Dr. Pere Pons, Associate Professor from the University of Girona (UdG), Spain. Dr. Pons specializes in Zoology, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Resources, Conservation Biology and Impacts on the Natural Environment. As part of his visit to UniSey, Dr. Pons made a presentation on Tuesday 13th June 2023, entitled ‘Living in a flammable planet: How flora, birds and other fauna recover after fire’. The presentation was based on his interest in the ecology and conservation of biodiversity, and his most recent works which aims to understand the impact of fire and logging of burned forest in animal populations and in the ecological services they carry out.
