The course touches on basic elements of banking such as budgeting, saving and investing, understanding credit, debt and repayment, Knowing Your Customer, understanding your bank statement, types of accounts, e-banking, theft prevention and cybercrime, managing financial risk, planning for retirement, interest and charges definitions, customer service in banking, laws and regulations in Seychelles banking, importance of bank account maintenance as well as providing an overview of Nouvobanq’s products and services.
The programme is being facilitated by two of UniSey’s lecturers; Mr. Paul Kangethe and Ms. Noussira Daman. “At the end of the session, I believe that participants will be equipped with invaluable financial knowledge and ready to navigate their financial journeys with confidence” says Mr. Kangethe.
The Head of Corporate Affairs Mrs Laurie-Mae Lepathy-Ansah, stated that the programme is part of a five year long term partnership between Nouvobanq and UniSey, and hopes that the programme raises more awareness on financial education in the country.
