Paul Glader:

Enjoying the work and meetings this week at University of the Seychelles as part of my Fulbright specialist visit. We are executing a few initiatives and events this week and also brainstorming and strategizing ways the island can continue growing its journalism offerings. I may be reaching out to a few friends and potential partners in a position to work with UniSey. The university is only 14 years old. The education system in Seychelles is key to the future progress of the island. Right now, only 7 percent of the 508 primary school teachers on the island have a bachelor’s degree. Most journalists on the island don’t have a bachelor’s degree. That is bound to change in coming years.
