On Wednesday 14^th June, 2023, UniSey hosted a seminar entitled “The implications of different Models of Schooling (Homeschooling, E-learning and Hybrid Learning) in the Seychelles context.” By two Ministry of Education officials Mrs. Petra Etienne and Mr. Jean Marc Athanase. The findings reveal a balanced perspective among participants, highlighting the varied benefits of the different models, including tailored learning, focused activities, promotion of self-learning and maximizing the potential of each child. The study recommends addressing the social, legal, financial, and qualification requirements, ensuring a conducive learning environment, conducting home visits, promoting social interactions and revising education law. These findings offer valuable insights for policymakers as they navigate the changing landscape of education and consider the potential integration of alternative schooling models.
