Mrs. Begguita Labrosse

Mrs. Labrosse has worked as a teacher for over 15 years and recently, with the NIHSS as a Quality Assurance Officer. She holds a Master of Science degree in Management, with Distinction, from the University of Bradford. She also has a Bachelor of Education (Secondary Education) from the University of Botswana.

Mrs. Labrosse has gained professional experience and knowledge in Assessment and Examination process during her employment. She has also been conducting training, participating in policy development and review, and with her experience in quality assurance, she has been an advocator for standards and quality in different areas across the organization where she previously worked.

The responsibility of the Senior Manager of Assessment Services is to oversee the conduct of a wide range of assessments, including termly/semesterly/yearly summative assessments, diagnostic and entrance examinations, assessments of recognition of prior learning (RPL), aptitude and proficiency testing, as well as external assessments conducted on behalf of external partners. In addition, she is responsible for the induction, training and reporting of External Examiners, as well as the recruitment and training of assessors and invigilators. The Senior Manager oversees all exam and assessment boards, both internal and external, and to achieve this, the Senior Manager works with respective academics, administrators, and external partners and parties. The Senior Manager also guides the policy direction and governance of assessment, ensuring all assessment practices comply with both internal and external assessment regulations. Lastly, the Senior Manager is responsible for the issuing of students’ termly/semesterly result status and programme transcripts.
