Professor Ananya Jahanara Kabir and Dr. Rosa Buenel-Fogarty from the King’s College, London visited UniSey from 24^th to 29^th May 2024.

The two researchers have been collaborating with CLCRI on various projects and have been working on a series of proposals for future projects.  Professor Kabir was the guest speaker for the Achilles Kwame Luc Memorial Lecture on Saturday 25^th May and made a presentation entitled: ‘Africa, Asia, and Europe in Seychelles – Creolization in the Indian Ocean Frame’, and Dr. Buenel was a presenter for the weekly research seminar to commemorate UniSey’s 15^th Anniversary on 29^th May entitled: ‘Sustainable heritage and neoliberal globalization in the Indian Ocean World’.
