Georges Nicette joined UniSey as a full-time Lecturer in Social Work in 2014, as a core member of the newly-formed Social Science team. Prior to this, he contributed as a consultant to the development of the Social Science degree programme, which includes a major specialism in Social Work.
Georges has extensive professional experience as a social work practitioner. He worked for five years as a Probation Officer for the Ministry of Social Development and Culture, and previously with the Ministry of Immigration. During his undergraduate studies, he completed an internship with the South West Aboriginal Medical Services in Australia, which led to a one-year employment there. Before joining UniSey, he gained lecturing experience at the National Institute of Health and Social Studies and with the Ministry of Education’s Centre for Adult Learning and Distance Education.
Georges is fluent in English, French, and Creole, and possesses strong communication and computing skills.
