Opportunities and Realities of Maritime Law Enforcement – UNODC
The Department of Law at UniSey was delighted to welcome a team from UNODC for an inspiring seminar on the Opportunities and Realities of Maritime Law Enforcement.
With a special focus on gender balance in law enforcement, students explored the challenges and realities of maritime missions while gaining insight into the incredible work of the marine police, investigation unit, and dog unit — many of which are led by strong and trailblazing women.
The seminar also encouraged students to critically reflect on the legal dimensions of maritime enforcement, from the Law of the Sea to human rights protections, reinforcing the Department’s mission to bridge classroom learning with industry practice.
