The University of Seychelles (UniSey) is pleased to announce that the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr. Patrick Herminie, has been appointed as the University’s Chancellor.

This appointment strengthens the partnership between the Government and UniSey and underscores the commitment to advancing higher education, research, innovation, and national development. As Chancellor, President Herminie will serve as the ceremonial head of the University, supporting institutional continuity, good governance, and the expansion of academic and research programs.

President Herminie expressed his appreciation to the University Council and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting UniSey’s mission to foster intellectual growth and prepare ethical, competent, and forward-thinking graduates.
