Each module is given in a seminar form. The study plan for each module involves substantial reading of selected materials which places emphasis on the students’ specialization needs and educational activities in relation to longer-range personal and career goals. At the end of each of Module students will be required to hand in a research paper, undertake exam (or other similar assignments required by the instructor) in order to assess their participation and to evaluate their academic progress. Teaching methods may include:
- Selected readings and written assignments, Lecture Discussions, Group Deliberations
- Data Analysis Exercises, Guest Academic Research seminars
- Research paper assignments, Participants’ presentations and discussions
- Critique and review of research papers
24 Contact hours (lectures) delivered over 4 days (modular) plus 12 contact hours (tutorials) delivered over the same period. One modular session runs for 4 days (e.g., Thursday to Sunday) for 9 hours daily (6 hours of lectures and 3 hours of tutorials).
