The HR & Talent Management Section at the University of Seychelles is responsible for overseeing all human resource functions, ensuring that the institution attracts, develops, and retains a skilled workforce. Key functions of this section include: 

 

  • Recruitment and Staffing: Managing the hiring process for academic and administrative positions, ensuring that the university hires individuals who meet the institution’s strategic goals.

 

  • Employee Relations: Handling staff concerns, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with university policies and employment regulations.

 

  • Training and Development: Organizing professional development programs and training opportunities to enhance employee skills and support career advancement.

 

  • Performance Management: Overseeing the performance appraisal process, setting objectives, and working on employee engagement initiatives to align staff performance with university goals.

 

  • Compensation and Benefits: Administering salary scales, benefits packages, and ensuring fair and competitive compensation practices.

 

  • Talent Management: Identifying potential leaders within the organization, implementing succession planning, and fostering growth opportunities for employees.

 

  • Policy Development and Compliance: Creating and enforcing HR policies in line with legal standards and the specific needs of the university.
