The James R. Mancham Peace and Diplomacy Research Institute (PDRI), in collaboration with representatives from Khalifa University (Abu Dhabi) and the Foreign Affairs Department – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Seychelles, organised an international symposium at the Anse Royale Campus at University of Seychelles. Associate Professor Dr. Michael Hall, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Sustainability Development, launched this inaugural event. Policy makers from various institutions and academics participated in this event. The title of the symposium was ‘Navigating the Free and Open Indo-Pacific: Implications for the Seychelles’ Security and Prosperity’, which explored the topic of the Indo-Pacific and its implications for the security and prosperity of the Seychelles.
