The Peace and Diplomacy Research Institute (PDRI) at the University of Seychelles (UniSey), in collaboration with the Department of Poverty Alleviation, hosted the Nelson Mandela Day Forum 2026 under the theme, “It’s Still in Our Hands to Combat Poverty and Inequity.” The forum brought together representatives from government, academia, civil society, youth organisations, and community stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue on poverty, inequity, peace, and social well-being, while reflecting on Nelson Mandela’s enduring legacy of social justice and collective action.
