Mrs. Betty-Mai Sofa is was employed as a Lecturer at the University of Seychelles since April 2020 and in April 2021 till today she is also discharging the responsibilities as the Head of the Health and Social Care Department.
Mrs. Sofa holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia and a Master of Arts in Community Development from the Murdoch University in Western Australia as well. She considers herself as a community and youth development academic and practitioner with 17 years of professional working experience plus 22 years of voluntary work experience. Mrs. Sofa is passionate about topics related to early childhood care and education; community organisation; strategic planning for the social sector; project management; project evaluation; scouting; sustainability and youth empowerment.
