As the Director of Information Technology, Mr. Bijay George plays a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution of UniSey’s IT infrastructure and operations. Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor, he leads a dynamic team of IT professionals to ensure the seamless performance of critical systems and services. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, he oversees the development and implementation of IT policies, data security protocols, and technology solutions that align with the University’s strategic objectives.

Leveraging over 10+ years of experience in the tech industry, he is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, driving digital transformation, and ensuring that technology serves as a catalyst for UniSey’s growth and success.

Mr. George joined UniSey in August 2011 to take up the position as Lecturer in Computing and Information Systems department. From 2013-2015, he worked as a SharePoint consultant for a Norwegian client and subsequently gained technical experience in deploying, troubleshooting, and implementing Microsoft Solutions and SAP for corporates. He held the additional responsibility as IT Manager from October 2018 – April 2023. He has delivered instructor led trainings in Microsoft and Cisco Certifications for Seychelles Police, Barclays Bank, SLTA, SLA, NouvoBanq, Seychelles People Défense Force, Airtel, Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation, Seychelles National Youth Council, SPTC and more.
