The Multimedia Coordinator’s role is to devise, implement, and manage the University’s online marketing efforts, by combining creative communication skills and technical savviness. The Multimedia Coordinator spearheads the University’s strategic growth efforts and uses the latest web and marketing systems to capitalize on current trends. Marketing in the digital realm, s/he carries out clear, concise brand messaging across various online platforms, for the University.

The Multimedia Coordinator manages the University’s digital productions. H/She works on blogs, social media, websites and videos and is part of the Communications Unit team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Media and Content Coordination

  • Manages all social media channels, campaigns to sustain an engaging audience experience and to increase audience satisfaction
  • Researches and analyses social media trends, including social media advert and web visitor data, to improve social media presence and campaign efficacy

Digital Content Coordination

  • Handles the production of all digital content, such as blogs, social media, or websites; oversees the accuracy and details, including the layout and visual components, and develop materials for specific audiences
  • Focuses on managing the University’s content, including creating an article, editing pictures, and creating layouts
  • Assists with proactively maintaining website content to ensure information is up-to-date
  • Formats existing resources to ensure digital content is consistent and effective
  • Reaches out to staff members to encourage updating their biography and team pages
  • Assists with drafting and delivering email marketing campaigns
  • Reports on page results using digital metrics
  • Contributes to campaign ideas and brainstorming
  • Helps sub site editors with best practice to ensure their sub sites are consistent with one another and effective

Management of University Website

  • Develops web content, ensures all content is up to date, measures the success of specific web pages, making sure the website performs at optimal capacity

Trends Analysis

  • Keeps informed and aware of all the latest developments in the industry.

Creation of Effective Marketing Campaigns

  • Creates and manages marketing campaigns on multiple digital platforms to boost revenue for the University’s products identified as marketing priorities. (Campaigns might include email and search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing (SEM) strategies)

Report Analytics

  • Monitors the results of digital marketing efforts and reports any successes or shortcomings to the Director

Social Media Accounts Administration

  • Assists the Digital Engagement Specialist in posting and administrating the corporate social media accounts
  • Drafts copy and responses to social media posts
  • Monitors social accounts outside of hours in the event of negative activity

Staff Training and Support

  • Trains and supports staff on the use of the EPiServer CMS
  • Responds to support queries from staff around CMS and content

Other duties

  • Assists others with digital media and communications as required
  • Fills in on tasks, events, and activities where temporary extra staffing is required
  • Undertakes any other relevant duties as directed by the Senior Communications Coordinator
