Dr. Proceed Manatsa is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Law. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree (LLB-Hons) from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe, in 2012.

He went on to earn five advanced qualifications: a Postgraduate Diploma in Tertiary Education (PGDTE) from Midlands State University in 2015; a Master of Laws in Environmental Law (LLMEL) from the University of Lusaka, Zambia, in 2016; a Master of Laws (LLM by Coursework) from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, in 2017; a Master of Arts in Development Studies (MA) from Midlands State University in 2019; and a Doctor of Laws (LLD in Perspectives on Law) from North-West University, South Africa, in 2024.

Dr. Manatsa has been a registered Attorney of the High Court of Zimbabwe since 2013.

Before joining the University of Seychelles, he taught law at Midlands State University (2013–2020) and at Great Zimbabwe University (2020–2022).
