Overview
The University of Seychelles places international and local collaboration at the core of its strategic development. Through Stakeholders’ Engagement, the University seeks to expand academic opportunities, strengthen research and engagement initiatives, and enrich the learning experiences for students and staff. By connecting with institutions, networks, and organisations worldwide, UniSey embraces new ideas, encourages cultural exchange, and contributes to a dynamic and inclusive scholarly community.
The Stakeholders’ Engagement office is responsible for coordinating and managing the University’s collaboration portfolios. The office oversees Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), academic cooperation agreements, mobility programmes, and stakeholder engagement activities. It also works closely with faculties, departments, research institutes and administrative departments to support exchanges with stakeholders, inbound and outbound mobility for students and staff, and ensuring the continuation of collaboration with UniSey partners.
Vision
The Stakeholders’ Engagement office actively works with other sections and departments to ensure UniSey build meaningful, mutual and positive collaborative relationships with its local, regional and international stakeholders. The objective is for all parties to achieve common project outcomes, build trust and spearhead innovation.
Mission
The overarching goal is to strengthen UniSey’s relationship with all stakeholders, to effectuate their different collaborative objectives. This is in line with UniSey’s Strategic Pathways:-
- Expand the scale of influence of our Research Institutes and Faculties, both locally and internationally;
- Build stronger and more dynamic ‘win-win’ strategic alliances and networks creating a vibrant community and to elevate our scale of influence and contributions in the local, regional and global environment.
This is in alignment with UniSey’s development plan and Seychelles National Development Strategy
