Dr. Jennifer Appoo joined the University of Seychelles (UniSey) in November 2024 as a Senior Researcher in the Blue Economy Research Institute. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environment.
Jennifer holds a BSc in Geology, Biology, and Environment from the University of Montpellier 2 (France), an MSc in Marine and Coastal Management from the University of Montpellier (France), and a PhD in Marine Ecology from the University of La Réunion (France).
She has extensive experience in biodiversity conservation through various roles in environmental organizations in Seychelles and Mauritius.
Her expertise spans project management, ecological monitoring, and applied research, focusing on safeguarding marine and island ecosystems.
