The University of Seychelles (UniSey) in collaboration with Örebro University Sweden, the Seychelles Ministry of Education and the Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education is pleased to announce a call for papers for a three-day regional and international conference on 17th, 18th and 19th February 2027 in Seychelles on the theme of inclusive education. The event is co-funded by the Swedish Research Council. The Conference is focused on advancing inclusive, equitable and high-quality education through informed innovation. Coordinated by the Education and Socio-Economic Research Institute (ESERI) at the University of Seychelles (UniSey), the event builds directly on the momentum and outcomes of the Innovation for Inclusion conference held in 2024, as well as a series of ongoing research, networking and capacity-building activities conducted since 2023.
Call for Abstracts
We welcome papers from a wide variety of interdisciplinary and theoretical perspectives, dealing with all levels of education, including, but not limited to, themes such as:
- Language-Supportive Pedagogy
- Digital and AI technology for learner support
- Pedagogic Designs for inclusion
- Individualised learning
- Peer-assisted learning
- Inclusive Curriculum Design
- Inclusivity and infrastructural designs
Each accepted paper will be scheduled for a 30-minute session, consisting of 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for Q&A.
We invite presenters to submit abstracts of no more than 300 words (excluding examples and references) to: es***@*******ac.sc. Include your name, affiliation and presentation title.

- Abstract submission deadline: 31st August 2026 (anywhere on Earth)
- Notification of acceptance: 18th September 2026
Registration and Queries
The deadline for registration and the registration fee of 300 € (for international participants) is due on 15th November 2026.

Conference Publication
We will be accepting full papers (6-8000 words) for a conference issue of the Seychelles Research Journal (https://seychellesresearchjournal.com/). The journal is open access and accredited and listed as a level 1 journal in the Norwegian list.
Deadline for submissions of the full papers is 9th May 2027.
